The Pearland Council of PTAs is comprised of the 21 local PTA units of Pearland Independent School District.
Membership in the council is not optional to maintain your membership each local unit must pay $50 in dues.

SODAs, BOTTLED WATER & SOFT DRiNKS and the Pearland PTA Units
PISD entered into an agreement with the Coca-Cola Bottling Company for a term of ten years beginning August 1, 1998 and expiring August 31, 2008. The agreement gives Coca-Cola exclusive availability, promotional and advertising rights for products of the The Coca-Cola Company. Under section 6 – Competitive Products, the agreement states that, “No Competitive Products may be sold, dispensed, sampled or served anywhere on the Campus.”
Students and employees may bring competitive products onto the campus for their personal consumption, otherwise, only Coca-Cola products are allowed to be on the campus. PISD holds the principal responsible for what happens during school sponsored events on their campus, therefore, the principal of each campus should be ensuring that only Coca-Cola products are available for the fund-raising activities at their carnivals.
ABOUT THE COUNCIL:
· The council won the 2002-2003 best small council of the year award from Texas PTA.
· In addition to providing training for local unit officers and chairmen, the council sponsors an International Festival or A Day in the Arts to celebrate Founder’s Day and participates in community-wide events promoting the mission and purposes of PTA.
· Annually, the council gives out Scholarships to PHS graduating seniors. The money for these scholarships is generated from the efforts of our local PTA units and Council Board who provide volunteers to run the concessions at the Pearland High School Football games. Last year and this year the council awarded $23,000 in scholarships. Please email Gayle Lee if you would like to help with concessions this year!
